After 14 years in our family, we sadly said goodbye to a long time friend and family pet, our beloved Cody. We feel honored that he chose us, a stray on the street, who needed a home. The kids were only 3.5 and 1.5 yrs when we adopted him-- he became a core part of our life and family. His favorite place to hang out when he was young was in the front yard, watching the world pass by. He attended all our Camp Fire campouts, and was a trooper through an infinite number of meetings where kids loved and swarmed all over him. He ferociously chased off deer and UPS trucks, he tolerated the additions of a kitten and puppy... Was always right in the middle of everything. Even as the kids grew into teens, he enjoyed being around them, and their friends always had to stop and say hi to our big brown dog.
