Tones decided to head to his parents to help them with some needed home repairs... which left me and kids on our own for Easter weekend. I was on call for a client and could not leave town. I had a wonderful weekend with my kiddos-- some time at the lake, some down time at home, hanging out, coloring eggs, talking about prom... it was one of the most enjoyable weekends I've had in a long time. Who said teenagers weren't fun?
We were kinda sad we didn't make it to Grammie and Grampie's, (Tones kept texting how much we were missed...) but when I got "THE CALL" a little after midnight on Sunday, (client, water broke!) I knew I had made the right decision-- helped bring a sweet little one into the world around 6am on Easter Sunday. What a great way to round out a wonderful weekend!
