My "little guy" who now towers over mom (and thinks it's hilarious) weighs 180lbs, and can bench press his weight easily, turned 16 this year. He's a simple guy-- didn't want a party-- even offered a small pizza/movie outing with friends but he declined. Wishes were simple too-a few gifts, some cash to buy a few "want items", and dinner with family. He picked Chuy's this year-- an Austin favorite for Tex Mex. He is pictured here with his dinner order-- cheese enchiladas with two sunny side up eggs on top... Enchiladas A La Grampa Dave.
He loves to play video games-- he will do it for hours if we don't intervene. His "new" thing is the xbox live- where he can interact with other games while he is playing. He loves playing the bass- all kinds... he has an electric and an acoustic at home, and plays the upright classical bass in school orchestra. He has the same group of friends he's known for many years- Matthew, Peyton, Nick, Joseph, (aka Ghibli) Donovan. He's quiet, eats a ton, is in a panic if there is no milk in the house. He does well in school, his teachers say he's a good kid. He was selected as the orchestra assistant manager this year, so someone thinks he's got leadership qualities. His true best friend is still Shadow, who adores him, who has been in our family for 6 years this summer. Nate is taking Introduction to Engineering this year-- and sees himself in an engineering career one day.
He's a good kid, loves his sister to pieces (always has). He's working on his driver's license- not in any hurry, likes to take his time with things. Happy Birthday to my still sweet (but not small) little boy.
