July 22-July 24 Camping with Mike and family

We left Bills mid day and met Uncle Mike and family at Signal Butte, outside Divide, Colorado. They had their trailer set up, true "remote" camping at 9,000 elevation! We started the day with a hike to the top of Signal Butte, where we had an awesome view of Pike's Peak. Afternoon the kids explored the quad and trails. Uncle Mike gave Nathan a riding lesson and he was off on his own shortly! Enjoyed a wonderful steak/chicken dinner... Next day we leisurely awoke, then took a "4 wheel drive scenic drive" across local trails and creek crossings. Took another hike around the area-- enjoyed beautiful sights. In the afternoon even Kelsey got a lesson and took a short ride all on her own! Mike insisted that he take his big sister out too, and so I got a tour on his bike, getting a quick feel for dirt bike riding in the mountains. Another evening of delicious dinner- salmon- and plenty of drinks and laughs. Sunday the boys set up a shooting range and all had fun trying their skill at various targets. Hard to say goodbye but we headed out after lunch for Estes Park.
